Saint-Élie Carbonated Spring Water - first from all the North American waters at Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting

February 25th, 2012, Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting
The award winning Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting welcomes more than one hundred waters from across the country and around the globe and is the largest water tasting competition in the world. Source Saint-Élie received its most recent distinguished international recognition for its quality product during the 22th annual Berkeley Springs water-tasting competition, held Saturday night February 25st, 2012 in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia.
Source Saint-Élie Carbonated Spring Water has been voted the fourth best tasting carbonated water “in the world”. Saint-Élie was the first carbonated spring water from all the North American waters. The international recognition is quite an accomplishment for this small Québec natural spring source, as the tough international contest is based on blind testing centered on five criteria's: appearance, aroma, taste, feel and aftertaste. The bottled water company that serves mainly the Quebec market has been in the news a number of times in the past five years with its spring water and carbonated spring water. In 2007, 2008 and 2009 it had won also a quality and tasting award in Belgium from the International Tasting and Quality Institute. According to Source Saint-Élie' owner Francine Lavoie, “We have always known we have a top quality spring water product, and again it is so nice to be awarded these top prizes. We have great tasting water in Canada.”
Sources Saint-Élie produces private label products for over 250 accounts around the Quebec province, Lavoie explained. We started to export our water in USA, Japan and in China. As a co-packaging facility, the private label bottling company offers natural spring water and also carbonated spring water that have exceptional taste. The water company specializes in small to medium size accounts with PET bottles in formats of 410 to 1.5 liters bottles. According to Lavoie, Source Saint-Élie water is bottled at the source in a controlled environment within their facility.
