Elle veut aussi prendre du volume dans le march&eacute; de l'eau de source<br />naturelle aux &Eacute;tats-Unis.<br />Tout d'abord, la compagnie consacre pr&egrave;s de trois millions de dollars &agrave; son usine de Saint-&Eacute;lie-de-Caxton. Cette usine vit ainsi un troisi&egrave;me agrandissement<br />en quatre ans. Quelque 15 000 pieds carr&eacute;s sont ajout&eacute;s afin de faire de l'espace pour une nouvelle ligne d'embouteillage. &Agrave; lui seul, l'&eacute;quipement co&ucirc;te<br />1,5 million de dollars.<br />&laquo;On a beaucoup de demandes de clients comme Jean Coutu et Loblaws pour de l'eau de source gaz&eacute;ifi&eacute;e. On vient de signer un gros contrat avec Metro.<br />On esp&egrave;re devenir le Perrier du Qu&eacute;bec&raquo;, lance Francine Lavoie, la pr&eacute;sidente de la compagnie.<br />Cette ligne d'embouteillage a la capacit&eacute; de produire 1000 caisses de 12 bouteilles &agrave; l'heure. Selon Mme Lavoie, la compagnie va &eacute;couler sur le march&eacute;<br />canadien environ un million de caisses d'eau de source p&eacute;tillante au cours de la premi&egrave;re ann&eacute;e d'exploitation. Ce nouveau produit va faire doubler le chiffre<br />d'affaires des Sources Saint-&Eacute;lie<br />&laquo;On est en train de terminer l'agrandissement. La production devrait commencer au d&eacute;but du mois de juin&raquo;, raconte Mme Lavoie, qui se fait discr&egrave;te quant<br />au chiffre d'affaires actuel des Sources Saint-&Eacute;lie.<br />Cet ajout de production va permettre l'embauche de cinq &agrave; 10 personnes. Actuellement, les Sources Saint-&Eacute;lie comptent une vingtaine d'employ&eacute;s.<br />Depuis trois semaines, la division am&eacute;ricaine des Sources Saint-&Eacute;lie poss&egrave;de une nouvelle usine. Boreal Water Collection est propri&eacute;taire d'une usine<br />d'embouteillage d'eau &agrave; New York. Francine Lavoie a investi 2,6 millions de dollars afin d'acqu&eacute;rir cette compagnie mise en faillite. Cette usine vient avec<br />une entente de fourniture en eau.<br />Lorsque les activit&eacute;s de Boreal Water Collection ont &eacute;t&eacute; lanc&eacute;es &agrave; l'automne 2007, Francine Lavoie indiquait que l'&Eacute;tat de New York et les &Eacute;tats du<br />nord-est &eacute;taient pour &ecirc;tre desservis par l'usine de Saint-&Eacute;lie.<br />&laquo;Le co&ucirc;t de transport est tellement cher. Il faut &ecirc;tre pr&egrave;s des gros march&eacute;s. La nouvelle usine va desservir la grande r&eacute;gion de New York o&ugrave; il y a 30<br />millions de personnes.&raquo;<br />L'arriv&eacute;e de cette nouvelle propri&eacute;t&eacute; aidera Boreal Water Collection &agrave; atteindre un chiffre d'affaires de six millions de dollars cette ann&eacute;e.<br />En Asie<br />Apr&egrave;s les &Eacute;tats-Unis, c'est au tour de certains pays asiatiques de d&eacute;montrer de l'int&eacute;r&ecirc;t pour les produits de Francine Lavoie. D&eacute;j&agrave; en novembre 2007,<br />cette derni&egrave;re indiquait que des demandes arrivaient du Japon. Il faut maintenant ajouter la Cor&eacute;e et la Chine &agrave; la liste des clients des Sources Saint-&Eacute;lie<br />pour de l'eau de source naturelle et de l'eau de source p&eacute;tillante.<br />&laquo;Les prix internationaux que nous avons gagn&eacute;s nous ont fait conna&icirc;tre &agrave; travers le monde. Les Asiatiques sont attir&eacute;s par ces prix. Et au Qu&eacute;bec, nous<br />avons de la tr&egrave;s bonne eau&raquo;, souligne Mme Lavoie, en rappelant que malgr&eacute; ce fait, les Qu&eacute;b&eacute;cois sont nombreux &agrave; boire de l'eau provenant de France ou<br />d'Italie.<br />Selon Mme Lavoie, les ventes dans les pays d'Asie repr&eacute;sentent une faible portion des affaires des Sources Saint-&Eacute;lie. La Source Saint-&Eacute;lie-de-Caxton est localis&eacute;e dans un environnement g&eacute;ologique et g&eacute;ographique exceptionnel et des plus privil&eacute;gi&eacute;s. Elle provient d'un bassin aquif&egrave;re form&eacute; de roches cristallines faisant partie du Bouclier canadien de l'&eacute;poque pr&eacute;cambrienne; ces roches sont consid&eacute;r&eacute;es parmi les plus vieilles au monde, soit plus de 600 millions d'ann&eacute;es. L'eau Saint-&Eacute;lie est filtr&eacute;e naturellement pendant plus de 60 ans &agrave; travers ces roches cristallines qui sont constitu&eacute;es de min&eacute;raux tr&egrave;s durs de sorte qu'elle s'av&egrave;re naturellement tr&egrave;s pure et de meilleur go&ucirc;t. Puis&eacute;e &agrave; une temp&eacute;rature de 5 C, l'eau Saint-&Eacute;lie est directement embouteill&eacute;e &agrave; la source.
